Plane turns over truck @ LAX

Seeing as Aeromexico taxis at 3-5 knots most of the time, I find this very interesting. Hopefully the person in critical condition pulls through...

I wonder if the truck had a mechanical or something after crossing and the crew thought they were clear. Damn.

This could certainly be possible, but most folks driving around LAX don't seem to pay any attention to the aircraft. I've been cut off by ground vehicles in LAX more times than I can count. The only airport worse as far as near misses with ground vehicles in my experience is ATL.

I landed there about 2-3 hrs after it happened. The area was still surrounded by police/fire vehicles and the truck was still lying on its side. Glad no one was killed!

Also the first time I parked at T6 instead of T3 since the switchover. Seriously, something as simple as parking at a new terminal at LAX and it feels like a completely foreign land.

From the article: "There were no injuries among the 149 passengers on the Aeromexico Boeing 737, although one passenger reported pain following deplaning, the airport said."

That's statistically impossible. There have got to be at least 50 center seats on a 737. And every time I ever get off a 737, I'm always in pain.

Anyone else notice something odd about that pic? If the truck was moving, was it backing up through that intersection??
