Plane Missing

*Some updates
They have 9 aircraft searching the area and I heard through rumours that 327ND had a history of electrical problems. Baker, remember any discrepancies from that plane?

nope everything seemed to work just fine when I flew it on the 22nd.

little engine roughness on runup but that was solved with some leaning/clearing the carbon.

other than that, ran like a champ.

I saw them in dispatch before they went to the plane and then I saw the plane taking off, sure hope they can find them.

Annette and Adam are both very close famliy friends of mine. Please just pray that they come home safe and sound.

says article not found

Grand Forks Herald said:
An official with the Todd County, Minn. Sheriffs Office confirmed at 6 p.m. today that the office had found a small airplane in a swampy area of the county.
The official said he did not know whether that plane was the one carrying UND aviation student Adam Ostapenko and UND Flight Instructor Annette Klosterman that disappeared last night during a routine flight from St. Paul to Grand Forks.

Fire and rescue vehicles are on the scene where the plane was found, the official said, but he had no further information.

The official said he has not been told whether people were in the plane when it was found.
Todd County lies north and west of St. Cloud and Little Falls, Minn., and is on the route that Ostapenko and Klosterman likely were traveling.
UND spokesman Peter Johnson said the two were flying a Piper Seminole, which left St. Paul shortly before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Air traffic officials in Minneapolis last spoke to Klosterman and Ostapenko in a routine conversation at 10:15 p.m., in the St. Cloud area, UND said in a statement.

Civil Air Patrol Capt. Al Pabon said the number was increased to nine this afternoon, with volunteer pilots coming from St. Cloud, Thief River Falls, Duluth and Minneapolis-St. Paul. They were searching from the area around Little Falls, in central Minnesota, to Grand Forks, he said.
The Piper company Web site, www.newpiper.com, describes the Seminole trainer as a twin-engine aircraft that seats four people.
