Plane crash in boulder, CO on November 19, 2010?

I hope this isn't considered too morbid, but I'm trying to find some more details on this crash for an immediate family member who flew with this person. Does anyone know about a plane crash November 19, 2010 in Boulder?

I'm surprised that I haven't been able to find any news or information on the crash, but here is an excerpt from one website about it: "Nicholas R. Cerretani II, a pilot for Atlas Air passed away from injuries sustained in a plane crash on November 19, 2010 in Boulder at the age of 33." We're just trying to find out if he was flying for work or a personal trip and wondering what he was flying when it happened? Does anyone know anything about this crash? My condolences to the family and other friends of Mr Cerretani. It sounds like he was a really upstanding guy. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
 
Atlas Air flies 747s in cargo configuration, so you can be pretty sure it wasn't work related. You would have heard if a 747 had crashed.

Oh. Somehow I missed that. There is nothing in the NTSB database about a fatal accident on or around that date in Colorado.
 
The only recent crash I can think of in Boulder is the one where the plane collided with a tow cable from another plane.... that was back in February.
 
It's difficult to say. Perhaps the accident wasn't in Boulder but he was transported there? Perhaps the accident was in some previous month, but he succombed much later (like Derrick Thomas a month or so after his car wreck). Perhaps it happened in Wyoming but he was transported to Boulder for a specialist and died there? Just a lot of variables.
 
Waco's theory is sound. The way it is worded seems to imply that he succumbed to his injuries on the 19th. There isn't anything to say when the crash happened, or that it happened in Colorado. If you want to narrow it down, look around that time period for a fatal accident where an airline transport pilot was at the controls. Of course, if he was a passenger on the flight that won't help at all.

Martin might know, which would be the easiest answer. Either way, it's a bummer and sorry for your friends loss.
