Piper Warrior Fuel burn?

I found that I can rent a Warrior dry for $88/hour. If I remember correctly it will burn about 9/hour, probably more with maneuvers, does this sound correct?
It doesn't seem like a good deal to me with 100LL at $4.75 around here and think I should look for a better wet rate.
Thanks

My POH is in the attic, but seeing as how you have either a 150 or 160 hp engine, fuel burns should be similar to a C172M/N, which would make 8 more reasonable. Still, $88/hour dry is pretty expensive.

Yeah that's about right. Figure 11.4 GPH at Best Power and 9.2 GPH (65% HP) and 7.9 GPH (55% HP) at best economy. That's with a 160hp 2700 hp rated engine.

9 is conservative...POH says 8. You are definitely in the ballpark.

Surprising difference between that and the 150. My POH shows 9.2 at 75% power, leaned for best power.

Best economy shows 8.4 @ 75%. For flying in the practice area, the usage should be well below 8, as long as he's leaned.

It does sound a bit steep for a dry rate, even in your part of the country. Is there somehting special about it? Privately owned, really well maintained cosmetically (as well as mechanically), super-duper avionics?

I am glad I posted the question, I couldn't put my finger on it but the price just seemed way off!
