A Navajo or Saratoga is still faster on average than a twin Cessna or a 210 because the Cessnas spend so much time up on jacks.

Those gear swings are some of the most scary things I did as a mechanic.

This is literally the first time I've ever visualized a Cessna getting jacked and cycled. Who gets to climb the ladder and sit in the cockpit 7 feet off the ground would be my first concern.

The real scary part is when you throw the handle and the plane starts torquing around on the jacks, that and making sure you jacked it up high enough that the wheels would clear the ground.

We generally would unlock the gear and then swing them through by hand to make sure they would clear first.

What are you talking about? Every airline aircraft that has the ability to fly as fast as you mention has heated probes.
