Pinnacle says Delta intends to terminate contract!

Saw what appeared to be a Pinnacle -900 on the old NWA maintenance ramp this afternoon on my way out to my car.

NXXXPQ something.

Yeah, I think that's where they keep 'em if they're broken or not being used cause they have one over there pretty often. Maybe its a spare.

Won't it be interesting if after years of negotiations...lawsuits, etc they finally get a deal in place.

Just to have Colgan vote in ALPA and begin negotiations next fall.

Worse would be what we've got going on now. Union presented a comprehensive plan the other night that the company seemed to not absolutely hate. They asked the mediator for time to go over it, and re-convene this Thursday. Would would suck is to get a contract.....then go into bankruptcy and see it tossed aside.

Steven, As promised I have an update as to who will be flying your routes after July 31st. The winner is........Pinnacle!:) From Fridays sched bulletin, you guys will be continuing to fly well past Sept 1st.

Good news. Wonder how long it's gonna take for that to circulate over here. Wonder what happened. Thanks, Howard.

I guess your management is in talks with Delta to keep the contract, so as long as talks are ongoing, the flying will continue till a final decision is made.

That goes with what Anderson said on CNBC, so it's probably. Memo we got last week said there are three possible outcomes 1) keep the flying as originally contracted 2) keep the flying at our current level and 3) lose it all together. The fact that the Delta thing and the huge amount of movement in our direction in contract negotiations may or may not be a coincidence, though. As long as our performance numbers stay at current levels, there shouldn't be a problem.

I dunno if I would follow that too much. I've heard you can still book a trip to Hilton Head on the ATR next spring:D

my favorite rumor lately was that the Mainline pilot group approached us about melding our two groups together. do i beleive this, no. but the idea is something to think about. sounds like a good way to eventually return regional flying back to mainline pilots. not so many benefits to the regional side guys , but good potential to mainline. ditch the regionals that are not owned by the company, incorporate the wholly owned regional and for the most part eliminate scope by having the pilot groups merge on different scales. weird, but interesting.

Heck, even I've heard that one. Under the guise that they'll crank up the numbers on the NWA side in order to have a more agreeable seniority integration with Delta... at least for them.

Aren't rumors great? We had a PNCL guy on the jumpseat the other day who heard the complete opposite about the DL-900 flying. Apparently the union is telling him that ASA is getting the flying. Until it's printed on paper or via company mail, I ain't believing sugar honey iced tea.:)

Delta, Northwest, Comair, Mesaba and Compass will all be merged into one big company. Everything will be integrated into one big pilot seniority list and everything will run through ATL from dispatch to scheduling.

You heard it here first! ;)

i don't know why, but as soon as i started reading that the old SNL Deep Thoughts: by Jack Handy skits ran through my head

Man, wonder who that was. So far, the "union" hasn't put out anything other than "Delta has said they intend to cancel our flying on July 31st." No union stuff about ASA getting the flying, Comair getting the flying or Yo Momma Air getting the flying.

Now, odds are this guy heard a rumor from a person that was a union volunteer (and there are quite a few), and took that as being "from the union." Another reason that those of us that are volunteers need to doubly careful about what we say and how we say it.
