I'd MUCH rather be on a more roomy Dash 8 100 than a cramped CRJ from LGA-BGR... plus the drone of the Dash 8 engines puts me to a nice soothing deep sleep![]()
I'd rather have 16 more seats to make my commute on, personally.

There's a reason they put Dashes on that route, and it ain't because Whiskey's RJs were bursting at the seams...
If/when you decide to move to BGR, I think your commute will be safe![]()
I can take one guy off that list.. I'll quit before I head to LGA...
Yeah, but your junior to me.![]()
HA!
BGR-EWR is probably one of the hardest commutes in the CAL system. Tons of old COex guys that live up here that flew for Bar Harbor waaay back.
/rant.
LGA is a cakewalk.
Plenty of commuter flights, plenty of ways to make money with overages, reasonable crash pads, etc...

If we get a LGA base, I want block or better. I'll settle for trip value or better. Otherwise, you can bet your sweet aunt Petunia all us 9E guys are gonna be flying 15 minutes for free a LOT.
Wait... What? Pinnacle doesn't have block or better?

Nope. We get paid by trip values. The "trip value" is the average of the blocks over the past year, but they only change if they go up or down a certain percentage. We don't start getting paid again until we're 15 minutes OVER the trip value.

We don't start getting paid again until we're 15 minutes OVER the trip value. So, we could be blocked at 2:34, but we may only get paid 2:30 minutes if that's what the "trip value" is. If we actually block 2:45, congrats. The company just got us for 15 minutes for free, even if the block was 2:30. This works out well for the company in the winter. We often wind up de-icing for free because of this. Now, if we get an actual block of 2:46, awesome. We just got paid an extra MINUTE.
I was okay with trip value or better until Ken explained why block or better would work out better for us. Right now, the company can extend the block whatever they want to make the flight on-time with no pay penalty since we're based on trip values. However, if we were paid BLOCK values, they'd need to have it somewhat realistic, or we'd all be getting paid well over what we were actually flying. Management does NOT like paying pilots to do nothing. They will, happily it seems, have us flying for free, though. Our failed TA DID have trip value or better.

Wow, bummer for you PNCL guys on that one. Had no idea. We all have our battles to contend with, crazy industry this is. Maybe I missed it, was this addressed in the TA ya'll turned down?
