Pinnacle LGA and BOS bases closing

Needing a break is human. Although you'll find out that without that lanyard people are still going to ask you, I still ask ex union reps questions just because I recognize their face.

I do the same thing. Most of the time I can get better and sometimes more reliable information from ex reps than I can from the current reps

I think soon American Eagle guys are going to hate us, on top of ExpressJet and Pinnacle. :-P

Meh.. short of us visiting in Dallas with a Q.. I'm not so sure. I briefly chatted with senior standards guy who said he saw it there... but thats about it.

I honestly think the company is reeling from the expense of the new contract. The contract by it's own is fine, and not too expensive, but they can't figure out how to run this place per the contract.. so they are paying out the back side. I love the pay I'm getting.. but I hope it lasts long enough to meet the major's Hiring "boom" or, at least untill they get this placed staffed to the point that they aren't giving out 10-15 hrs per pilot per month in premium pay. (non voluntary open time eg, extensions and junior mans) PVO is fine by all means... but the PVO people should easily cover all the open time. Maybe with the saab reductions we will finally be there? Here's to hoping!

ORD base for AA and UAL flying?

ORD would be where I place my bet IF any of these AA flying rumors are true. AE operates a large number of ERJ-135s there and the cost-savings of operating 74-seat turboprops with reduced frequeny has a lot of potential.

This from Chatauquas announcement today about furloughing 56 and parking planes... Rob may be on to something. Sorry to hear about those getting furloughed though

"Effective Oct. 4, we will discontinue Milwaukee-St. Louis service and implement a frequency reductions from Milwaukee to Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Des Moines, Flint, Grand Rapids, Green Bay, Indianapolis, Omaha and Pittsburgh. "

This represents 13 Chautauqua aircraft. An additional 14 are likely to be dropped by AA in the immediate future.(their liability to assume the leases end this month)

Good Lord...

I would hope that Eagle has no scope whatsoever for those routes, but that AMR's scope is the one that determines who can fly the routes that they own. I could really care less about this contract, but I hope for AMR's sake they don't scope it out to us. Majors need to scope in large turboprops (which they won't). Q400 = 737-3/500. Just ask CAL pilots.
