Pinnacle and Mesaba jet lineholders

Who have you been flying with?
A very nice couple pilots I rode in the front with as a little goodwill. I might be up that way after 11-09 gets done and I can get some visability on where my best QOL will be. Besides, the chance to annoy Steve day in and out with a Pref bid request has some serious appeal.
 
I have no idea what "TOGA to ten" means. Sounds like one of our "non-standard standard" guys making stuff up as they go along. The profile Ctab posted is it. I could see the Q adopting a lot of the same practices. Might making jumping airframes easier down the road.

As far as CAs on the line....I still have about 14 guys behind me on the "no bid" list in JFK from 11-09....

I've got 60 something grand to ship in product and a new warehouse to open in April (in Charleston). I'll get to jfk when I can.

Winter is not a good time for me. (and for all my joking around it's not drugs, I promise, no one narc me)

It's possible the HR lady misrepresented the aircraft for which the company is currently hiring. She told me it would be the -200 out of JFK and that I'd have the opportunity to bid on other aircraft and other bases in time. Nevertheless, she offered me an interview. Then I had to inform her that I'm currently flying the Saab for 9L and that I didn't realize my airlineapps profile from last spring was still active.

Doesn't surprise me. I've heard about a guy that quit awhile ago and they still randomly call him for 9E related things. How can the predict if we need to go to bankruptcy or whether or not they need to furlough if they don't even know who works for them!?

I've heard that there were classes for 9L starting first week of March. I think it was somewhere on this forum or the other one that I read that. Can they afford to completely stop training for very long if we're averaging attrition of 20/month? They can't keep operating on the reduced flying we've had or we'll for sure go broke.

This is nothing new. We've had guys get calls for junior mans or calls from scheduling wanting to know if they're at the airport after they left the company and have been gone for a week or two.

There really isn't much of a point in asking this question. This is much like asking for upgrade times. You need a snowball to figure this stuff out.

Depends on the base. The -200 is the junior aircraft it seems and the junior bases for that airframe are JFK and DTW with JFK being the most junior.

The most junior line holder on the -200 is a July 2011 hire date based in JFK. Seniority is somewhere in the mid 2800 numbers on the ISL (out of ~3000 pilots)

DTW is the mid 2700s and a May 2011 hire date.

MEM is the mid 2600s and is a February 2011 hire date.

MSP is a low 2500s and is a September 2010 hire date.

Using this for example... the info doesn't do you much good! I am MSP based 200. Low 2700's and January 2008 new hire. I have been on reserve for the better part of 4 years and no end in sight. If you want to move up quickly do what others have done and go to the worst place you can possibly handle!

Either way, low 2700s is waaaay junior to either airlines January 2008 new hire date.

I know the new ISL that was just published in full of errors, but 2500 and higher are post merger new hires.

I was just caught off guard with the 2700 number because the last I had checked, MSP was about the only base where I could not hold a line (XJ or 9E).

Not sure about XJ, but at 9E we were able to see our seniority number as it changed month to month in CrewTrac. Now that we seem to have combined operations with XJ but not 9L, we have one seniority number that reflects our position within the XJ+9E operation (also used in PBS) and a seniority number that is for the entire combined seniority list.

Very difficult to keep track of lately, even more when we are losing close to 20 pilots a month.
 
Only if you like potentially being stabbed by gang members, commuters, or disgruntled junior pilots... they are all basically the same thing. :)


Meh, as long as you're not commuting to the same place, us commuters are normally pretty chill. I did get "Doug Taylored" by a MX guy yesterday. Had the JS, was about to get boarded, and a MX showed up DURING boarding. When told he was going to have to sit in the jumpseat, he pitched a mini-tantrum because there weren't any seats in the back. Really, dude? I'll take your seat and be happy since I won't have to wander the terminal for another 2 1/2 hours waiting to hopefully get on the next flight. Shut up and be grateful you have the privilege. 4 more non-revs got left at the gate other than myself and this tool was about to cry because he was going to have to sit on the jumpseat. Anyway, I digress.
