Don't know. I think it's gonna depend on how the joint agreement and seniority list integration goes. They'll continue to park Saabs at XJ, and they'll likely have to offer recall to the furloughed XJ guys before any more new hires after the integration.

It's also going to depend on how many block hours Delta dumps on us this summer and if there is any hiring higher up the ladder. We can barely staff the flying we have now, even with the few upgrades and new FOs finally hitting the line. Don't even want to think about an increase in hours and more attrition for the summer...

I'd attrite my happy butt right out of here tomorrow if I could. I've even gotten the thumbs up from the boss to walk if I just get put in a hiring pool as long as I get a job somewhere in the meantime. :) Not sure if that't he SMARTEST thing in the world, but I tell ya, it's gotten so bad that the thought has crossed my mind more than once. We're at summer levels of flying in February, which is traditionally one of slowest months of the year. I don't even wanna think about March (spring break) or summer. I'm getting calls on every day off I have for junior mans, and I've already burned my extension refusal for this month. Luckily, the trip I start tonight would put me over 16 hours of duty on Wed night if they try to extend me into a day off, so I'm PROBABLY safe this week. We'll see about next week, though.

On the subject of attrition, I bet we see some guys take their bonus check and ride off into the sunset. If DOS is 2/18, and you only need to be on property then to get the bonus, I wouldn't be surprised to hear a lot of notices turned in on 2/19.....

I have heard of only 1 person doing that. I cant imagine a large number will. But the ones that do, I think it would be smart of them to wait for the displacement, then turn in their resignation, after they get a payout for getting bumped (or voluntarily bumped).

Most of the JG Wentworths are down in Memphis. It's their money, and they want it NOOOOWWWW!!!

If I were a super senior CA that wanted to bid the -900 in ATL (which is what all the cool kids seem to be doing in the high seniority range), I'd voluntarily displace myself outta MEM and into ATL. Not sure if a lot of guys will clue into that, though.
