pilots in relationships with flight attendants

Wherever men and women work together, there are and will be close encounters. Even in the military, where the standards are supposed to be higher and people could get in a lot of trouble, it happens more often than not. It's just the nature of human kind.

(men + women) * opportunity^2 = trouble :D

Oh really??????

Navy is the worst with this......

:)

See, that's kind of like what I've observed in the military.

In the military, many males you see are married to civilian females....there are some married military-to-military.

Females in the military seem to be overwhelmingly married to males who are also in the military......I see very few military females married to civilian husbands.

Don't know why that is.

I noticed that too. The way it goes I think, is that most mil-mil people hook up at school right after basic, and most of them break up either because they were young and making more money seemed appealing at the time, or because they are taken apart by different duty station locations. These are just couple of many, many different things that play into that in my opinion. Most of the girls I've come in contact in military are also somewhat tomboyish and attracted more to military guys than civilians. But, of course there are many different stories out there I think, so my post hardly even scratched the surface. The mil guys are probably more attracted to civilian women because they probably enjoy the company of a sexy fluffy girl rather than a macho military girl who can jump out of the airplanes and run few miles carrying a gun without breaking a sweat.:D
aah, I hope I answered to the best of my experience :)
On a personal note, I opted for a civilian, military girls are just not cutting it for me ;)

Are you asking why women in the military seem to be almost exclusively married to men in the military while men in the military don't seem to marry women in the military... if that made sense? lol

Maybe it's just a numbers thing. There are definitely still more men in the military so there wouldn't be enough women to go around. Perhaps more men in the military would marry women in the military, but some other solider or sailor already scooped them up.

I think workplace romances will always exist because you spend more waking hours a week with your coworkers than you do with your friends and family and obviously you have a common interest. Put this together with the fact that there aren't enough military women for every man in the military and that would explain why most men are married to civilians.

Also, although I've met some very macho AND some very prissy women in the military, perhaps the women whose personality attracts them to the military typically are attracted to men who fill a leadership roll or are seemingly very 'manly.'

Or maybe it's just because a lot of times people sign up for the military very young and hormones are raging and they're away from home and suddenly have money in their pocket's and just hook up...

I don't really know, this is all speculation. :dunno:

Yes, that's my question. I see your angle on the military men marrying civilian women due to how the numbers play out. But why do most military women then, seem to marry mostly men who are in the military? Versus marrying civilian men? That's an oddity I haven't yet figured out. Your guess is as good as any.

Lol......that's why people have their so-called "workplace" wife/husband, due to this? :D

Apparently back in the WWI and in many wars since, it was pretty common for soldiers to hook up with nurses. A stereotype of sort. At least one book that comes to my mind is "Farewell to arms."

I guess that kind of was my answer. If you kind of add all those things together... Possibly age and maturity level, along with newly found freedom and cash in their pockets, plus women who are already looking for a 'manly' man, plus young women of marrying age, plus the convenience of the workplace romance... I was saying maybe more military guys would be married to military women too if there were enough.

It's my best guess.
