Part Time King Air SIC

Employment: Part-Time
The principal duties of the position include the following:
  • Make customers feel safe, appreciated and comfortable by giving exemplary customer service
  • Be at aircraft a minimum of one hour before scheduled departure times
  • Communicate properly pertinent information to the appropriate person(s), i.e., problem, weather, cancellation, abnormalities, etc.
  • Make sure aircraft is clean and passenger ready prior to each flight
  • Operate aircraft with safety as the number one priority
  • Maintain navigation charts and books
  • Fly Charter and Pilot service trips as required
  • Help promote our company and charter when appropriate while crewing a trip
  • Fly other aircraft as assigned by Elliott Aviation
  • Other duties as assigned or by addendum
The qualifications for this position include: ATP; Hold a First Class Medical Certificate; 100 hours Night Time; 1500 hours of Total Time; 500 Cross Country Time; 100 hours Twin Time; 75 hours Instrument Time – at least 50 in actual flight; Minimum experience per F.A.A. Part 135
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and the general public.
Physical Demands: Regularly required to sit, talk and hear, reach with hands or arms and lift objects up to 10 pounds. Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and grasp or pull and lift objects up to 50 pounds. Will have frequent exposure to high or precarious places, regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions places and occasional exposure to fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noises.
 
Might be a good job for someone local looking for extra income. I don't think you'd be able to survive on part-time pay only.
 
They are a real nice group of people. I picked up a lot of passengers there when I was doing charters, and talked quite a bit to their 135 guys, and maintenance people. I always thought that they would be a good company to work for, and they have a very nice new building that just went up a year or 2 ago.
 
Elliot Aviation is a good company. I'm not sure what the pilot side is like, but if I'm ever in the Des Moines area I'll make the extra effort to stop in there and fill up. Very, very nice FBO.
