How much does a pilot's height affect their career?
I'm a 4"10 grown woman so there is no chance I can become a pilot correct?

Smaller is better when it comes to helicopters.
Just cause she's short doesn't mean she hates life.
It may be difficult for you to reach the left generator switch on the CRJ, but other than that I don't know of a limit. I'd assume that the limitation would be something like "physically able to manipulate the controls." You *are* too short to be a flight attendant where I work. How much does a pilot's height affect their career?

Your biggest limitation will probably be at the start of your career actually. For example, much of the single engine Cessna line has limited capabilities in terms of accommodating pilots at both ends of the height spectrum, mostly due to the really deep instrument panels and relatively low ceiling. Typically the bigger the airplane the more adjustment you have on seating and the better the ergonomics are. For example you'd be fine in a Navajo, Lear, or probably even a 737.How much does a pilot's height affect their career?

I always wanted to fly a Lear 35. Being 6'3"....that is until I saw the cockpit. No Judgment...
She's also quite a bit too large for a LearJet cockpit.
ohh......you cut me deep Shrek. You cut me real deep just now.

The anthropomorphic design of the Embraer Phenom precludes me from ever flying it, as I am too *tall* to get my feet on the rudder. Which is a bummer.
I learned years back that I would never be able to fly a King Air due to the physical inability to put my feet on the rudder pedals and turn the yoke without breaking my own knee caps. And I'm ok with that.
Oh, and appologies, but when your FOs complain that the sun screen rail is bent it's probably my fault from bashing it with my headset every time I turn my head.

"NO HAND HOLD" means both "Don't grab this" and also "don't hold hands."Oh, and appologies, but when your FOs complain that the sun screen rail is bent it's probably my fault from bashing it with my headset every time I turn my head.
