Piedmont pilots read now

As to merging the 2 lists, the CEL merger list is already complete and has been approved by both MEC's. This was done some time ago.

I wasn't surprised by this when I read the letter. I have 100 and something people below me. Hopefully that'll work in my favor.

Combined eligibility list. It was set up as part of a flow through agreement to mainline via Air Midwest.

Mid Atlantic (or direct to Mainline). Air Midwest is/was a part of MAG.

All PSA and PDT/ALG pilots have a spot on the CEL based off their date of hire. If both companies had a class starting on the same date, it alternated back and forth each time. When Mid Titanic was originally formed all CEL pilots had the option of either chosing to stay where they were, flow up to Mid Atlantic and then eventually Mainline if they wanted or to stay where they were until they could flow up to Mainline. With all of the furloughs during the two BKs obvisouly the flow up to Mainline never happened. However a number of ALG pilots did flow up to Mid Atlantic. Then MDA was sold off to Republic and the pilots who had flown there were all furloughed. The deal had said origionally all CEL pilots would flow back down to their original carrier but due to some silly legal wrangling PDT (which in the meantime had merged with ALG) refused to take them. So, with the stroke a pen these CEL pilots became Mainline pilots (even though they never flew a day at Mainline) and joined the Affected Pilot List which made them eligible for the J4J program. DASH CA ----> 170 FO ----> CRJ CA. Not a bad deal really.

The CEL is still in place however the flow through that is was designed for is being held up (again) due to USAPA having more pressing issues. PDT's and PSA's ALPA units just filed a law suit to push to have a Board formed to arbitrate the flow through.

And if you want to throw more fuel on the fire of the merger possibility, PSA's VP is retiring on April 4th and as of yet there has been no replacement announced.

PDT/PSA will not merge...Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Maybe bob can speak to this, but wont happen..Dont shoot the messenger...Please.

Sad news indeed, when the furlough going to be effective and how many?

5/1, which is what I've kinda had in the back of my mind.

Not sure how deep, was actually hoping to hear from some other folks 'round here on that.

Knew it was coming, still stings though. I guess I was hoping it would just be the four planes and we could get back to business before too long. With all 11 going back, I won't expect a recall before getting new planes :laff:

I think it's in pretty bad taste that SBY didn't issue a FIL or CP letter on this stating a decesion was made, how many and when they are efective. Instead they just start calling. What a bunch of tools.

Got that right. Its gotten pointless to believe anything thats said on ask piedmont. Bunch of tools indead. I think we are going to see huge base reorganization, regardless of what sby say's. Like you say, roa will lose its status of a mx base, and cho and ewn are gone. I just dont get why they can't be upfront with us with the future of our company. Is it really too much to ask?
