Piedmont pilots read now

YOu were almost toast with no reductions..... Be glad you still have your gig unlike half of the other part of your class. I am positive you dont mean it to come out that way but keep in mind the others of us who read this. Who already got the door....

Relax Meyers, I think everyone who squeaked by the furlough door is counting their blessing right now, along with sweating it out.

He knows what I mean. Especially since he was in my class that got the ax.... And until you are on the street you dont know. No offense Tim.

Relax Paul,

I was kinda responding to post, I thought smacked of schadenfreude. Kinda trying to say, it could happen to anyone of us.

Hey if it makes you feel any better I am living out of a hotel, and have a lot of things going on, not at all positive. Maybe your recall number might jump one notch, and if it does, that will be the silver lining for me.

BTW, the flame instead of a PM says loads about your character.

That makes for a bad week.

Great idea by company to get rid of Dash flying that costs them probably next to nothing. :banghead:

Better start job hunting.

F'ed PSA guys, did you get to keep your travel bennies on furlough?

90 days effective the day of your furlough. Down to an SA4. Lose your ID ASAP and returned all our manuals effective the date of our furlough. Have not heard a word from MGT since the furlough. Hope PDT mgt might be a little better then ours.

So you get to retain your travel privelages 90 days after your furlough, then they are up? Or they become effective 90 days after your furlough? I guess it's the first one, since the 2nd doesnt make much sense, but then again you never know. And that includes ZED fares with everyone on the interline agreement etc. ? Thanks

Since we are both fully owned I imagine that it's going to be similar with us.

You have no buddy passes after your date of furlough. You and your parents and spouse and children I assume. 90 days effective your furlough. 91 day after your furlough you will no longer be able to log into the travel website. Zed fares I do not think you will have any more either since you will no longer have an ID. Could be wrong since I've never used ZED fares.

It says that we are only returning 4 of the 11 -100's for now. But I suppose we should be pessimistic and assume the other 7 will follow, that way if they don't it will be a nice surprise.

Either way, I'm screwed...

Fun!

I feel that being owned is a bad thing, simply because you are at their mercy.

I mean look what happened to Comair, PSA, and now Piedmont.

I'd say you're always at the mercy of the Major your company does flying for. Look at TSA, Republic, etc. Not sure being wholly owned makes much of a difference.

Well, yes and no. If you aren't a wholly owned, your management has the ability to go out and attempt to find more flying for your aircraft. In some cases (Republic, Skywest, ExpressJet at one point in time) it works. In other cases (AWAC) it doesn't.

Your point is a valid one, but right now there is very little flying to be had and pretty much everybody is screwed. Can you tell I'm an optimist?

Well, time to "Panic" :panic::panic::panic:

According to our "fearless" leader, the "plan" for remaining seven -100 will return to leaser. :(

Time to find a new job.
