Hey Folks,

So, I'm looking at possibly getting back into the airline world, and I see this position open out here in SoCal. Is anyone familiar with how the pay works out for this position? As much as I try to break away from aviation, it always has me wanting back in...

I can see if I can find any info. LGB?

It wouldn't be much based upon my knowledge. Am friends with the Delta station manager at OMA and he makes somewhere around 45K and he's been there eleven years.

Ahhhh I see. I'm trying to feel it out if its even worth it to make the switch over or not. If mainline is making 45k, 11 years, I'm scared to see regional 1st year.

They're going to want you to have experience with USAirways Res and Ops systems as well as supervisory experience in both ramp and gate ACS. I applied for one of their station manager positions back when I was working at Comair.

Ahh I see. I don't have experience with their systems - just WN and OO. The salary would be too much of a pay cut from what I'm doing now though to even contemplate it. Still trying to see where I can get back into that'll be somewhat similar to pay/benefits I'm currently with.

Not at all what you're asking about, but have you looked into something with Surf Air down there? Not sure exactly what they'd have you do, but they'd be daing lucky to have you doing something there...

Oh that sounds awesome. I love the PC-12. It's actually my dream plane to own one day. Got an insider at Surf Air?

Stick with the Police thing kid. You're working at LAX, doesn't that kinda count as aviation for ya?

Haha I actually left the PD. Long story short, it wasn't what I was looking for at the time. I'm in the rental car industry now. Life is actually really good, but I'm yearning for aviation.
