How many gallons does the van have? I heard it is a rediculous amount. Granted it can take the weight.

Ran into some on Friday morning. Kept it off pretty good, only a 5kt decrease. Another thing about TKS is that extra fluid will help keep unprotected areas clean, like cleflyer said.

Our refill is pretty simple. Open a little door on the right side of the airplane under the wing and dump it in there. It's okay if you have our base pump to pump the fuild inside but holding 5 gallons of TKS with your back hunched over while waiting for it to ooze out is kinda bad, but what are you gonna do? Sounds like you FlightExpress guys have it worse than us.
