PHX-PHL Commutable?

Anyone played this game before? I would be in a situation where I could stay in the Northeast should I get bumped, but I don't want to be splitting someone's rent in PHX if I barely stay there.

It used to be before the America West/USAirways merger, but it's gotten fairly tough now that PHX is a hub. Probably lots of rides in the JS or even a two leg commute. I pulled up listings and almost every flight is showing zero seats available in the middle of the week.

Dude move to ORF and call it a day. It beats PHX hands down any day. I moved up 7 spots in one month alone, holy heck I don't know what's going on here.

How far are you from upgrade? Gimme a shout the next time you have a PC/PT in CLT. I'm at the training center almost every day now.

No idea, after the latest round of vacancies I'll be about 85ish from the spot, if they do 15/month that'll put me around Feb. We'll see...

Are you doing sim/CPT instruction there now?

PHX-PHL is HORRIBLE for commuting. You have a lot of mainline East Airways guys who live in PHX and commute to PHL. That could change once they merge the opererating certificates whenever that might be.

My buddy did it for a year and a half from PHX-ALB. He would use SWA through MDW to get there. He was bumped off a lot of PHX-PHL flights.

It is fairly possible, but can be rough sometimes. I go back to Philly all the time since I'm from there, and my girlfriend is now living there again. I go back almost every weekend or every two weeks. It really just depends on what day you're traveling. I can't jumpseat which makes it even worse for me. Some days they're completly oversold, and some days they're empty. Usually I just end up going through BOS or CLT first, then flying down to Philly if it's full.
