PHL ATC.... professionalism??

MY EARS!!!!!!!!!!

If you're going to drop the F bomb directed at somebody, better make sure the mic isn't keyed up.

As one on the radio at a 911 Center ... kinda' "yawn. "

Sometimes stuff goes out, unintentionally, over an open mic. Rarely, it's intended for a jerk.

We try, on both sides, but there ARE the occasional slips/bad moments.

Not speaking for anyone else, but I'll be perfect when I'm dead. Until then there might be a faux pas from time-to-time, on both sides of the mic.

Why do we care when someone swears on the radio? It's not like young children are buzzing around in the cockpit. I'm sure people swear all the time in offices all around America.

I guess if you're gonna call someone else an effing idiot, you should make sure you're not one yourself. Except, in this case, she was. I'm not offended by her language, I'm offended by her incompetency.

This is it through and through. :)

I gave a guy a clearance into TEB with "6 miles from DANDY turn left 090 etc..." and instead of reading back or bothering to turn he chips in all pissed off sounding "we're not 6 miles from DANDY we're 2 miles from VINGS!" So I just calmly replied, "yes sir, and VINGS is 4 miles from DANDY."
