hi, i have been seeking an answer to these questions for years regarding performance graphs for landing distances (LDA):

(a) why are these graphs factored?
(b) why is the factor different for destination & alternate?
(c) how is the value of the factor derived?

and most important of them all

(d) is there any written source where these answers are given?

I'm missing what factored means?

Are you talking about factors affecting performance like hard vs soft field, runway slope and conditions?

or are you talking about something else?
