Well Chris ,
Most of your questions regarding moving expenses you will need to contact Aviation Careers 405-954-4657. If you dont want to except the position for ZAN, you will need to reply to the email as Declined due to location, then you will be placed back in the pool applicants. There is no timeframe . Just a waiting game at that point. Please respond with a decision as soon as possilbe.
Thank you !

First of all, does anyone know how to spell anymore?? (you dont "except" a position, you "accept" uggggghhhh)
It really does not answer my question as to WHY they put me in alaska. I guess I was expecting the response to be "OH crap, we really blew it there, what a hoot, we'll fix you right up"
What does "back in the pool of applicants" mean? From my understanding they ALREADY picked from the "pool" so the only ones left in the "pool" are the unselected ones. Do I really wanna jump back in that pool?
*sigh*

Heres the deal, the lady that sent the emails is a contractor. Doesnt even work for the FAA. That's why she can't tell you much. So far Ive been told that im basicaly %^&*#$. Then they began to tell me that it's a nationwide announcment and they can put you anywhere they want. And then I mentioned that I had put down my geo prefs... but i guess those dont count for nothin'... I had to just get off the phone before i blew my top. Im sure you feel just as great as i do about now' Now im told that i need to get ahold of the "Exam Team" ..ofcourse ring ring ring.. no answer... whole day freakin affair.
ME: "Yeah I know of one guy that was selected for Guam"
FAA: "Yeah we just talked to him"
HAHAHA
It's just you and me man... Did you talk to "Renee"? She seemed like a wench. . . She was like, "well you applied for a "nationwide" announcement, what did you expect?" She also gave me the "let me transfer you to the "exam team"" and then when she transferred me it went right back to the Aviation Careers number so i just hung up.
She also said there are no moving expenses paid, so I'll have to save up about $5000 and be ready to drive 6 days straight in December.... which means driving a uhaul in the snow with like 4 hours of daylight per day.... Unless I just decline the position, in which case, according to renee, I could be put somewhere Worse..... (like guam?)
Let me know what you come up with, I gotta go to work... Interesting times...
Someone should let Renee know that Guam is not part of the "Nation"
