Past few days at DXR and United...

Good pics, this one looks like a Cessna ad.

On another note, how do you like your Canon A630? The pics are great in low(ish) light and daytime. Right now I have the Canon S3 IS and it's working fine, but I'm always looking for something better in the same price range.

could not have been more pleased with the camera. I doesn't feel like a toy (kind of heavy) but it still is able to fit in oune's flightcase (the major seling point for me). At the higher ISOs its not so bad either, you can use a post-processing program to get rid of the noise. Great color quality, and manual features.

The Cessna and the Piper shots are very vivid! I love trying to get those kind of shots, just after a big storm, everything is soaked, but the sun is out...really makes the colors come out I think, esp with the black asphalt..

Thanks for sharing!

:yeahthat:

How did you steady the camera in the night time shots? They came out phenomenal - no blur at all. I had a Panasonic FZ-20 but I left it in a hotel room (ouch). Never got it back. I've been looking for something to replace it and would like to spend $200-$300.

Great shots! I bought a Canon A530 awhile back and I'm still unsure if i like it. It could be that I have no clue how to take pictures. I guess I need to play with it more to get the settings right and maybe I'll like it better. I know for sure it doesn't take very good inflight shots, but I have a feeling I'll have to pay for something that does.

the low light shots (essentially still night) were taken by placing the camera on the baggage cart, and setting the exposure to something like 1.5 seconds. You have to have a solid place for pictures like that.

OK thanks. I ended up buying another FZ20 on amazon.com last night, slightly used for $300. Hopefully I won't lose this one :D!!

I like the pic of 76H at the olde Danbury Flight School.... did many a days of PVT training in that beast :)
Oh ya the Colgan saab is kind of cool too :insane:
