Passport Q

I may have already asked, but the search didn't turn up anything for sure.

So my wife washed my passport. Well, to be fair, she washed my pants in which I had placed my passport for safe keeping.

Still usable? Hope so, cuz I'm headed to Detoilet with Palm Trees for Turkey Day.

Side note, when are you going to DWPT? I'm flying the Hawker down Wednesday afternoon, but getting the heck out of dodge at 5:30.

Well...they're going down tomorrow and we're crew swapping. I can't go until tomorrow night (after 1800 eastern) so............................................................I'll probably get in sometime late Wednesday morning/mid day, I'd assume.:dunno:

Unless I can get lucky and they let the other crew reposition to Boca or MIA or somewhere close by with family around.

I've never had a problem with some pretty rough looking passports. Usually, they are kind enough to same over old stamps in the UK for me when I can't get any more pages put in.

They'll tell you to get a new one for next time if it looks really bad. I usually try to replace them outside the US, the same day turn around at a consulate beats waiting 6+ weeks by mail. Not sure if they still do 10 year ones overseas though (my last one from AMS is).

This isn't tooooooo bad but you can see where the cover is bleeding through a little bit (some blue spots on the photo). Hopefully it isn't an issue and/or I don't get some Barney Fife with something to prove...
