Passed the Farnsworth

This is off topic, but I have question about my eye problem as well. I just had my first medical last spring and had a few complications with the eye exams. I know I am going to need to get my visual clarity checked, but I am unsure about the others. Am I going to need to take the titmus machine tests again? IIRC, the exams used with it was a color vision test, and a few tests to check for monocularity (where you tell the doctor which musical note is on the line etc.). Do i have to take all these tests every medical, or just the vision clarity checkup to make sure my glasses are good enough?
 
Two quick questions:

I finally received my unrestricted 3rd class medical yesterday after about a 95 days. If I want to upgrade to a 1st or second class medical, could I take my results to the ame and have a new physical done sense the Farnsworth results are current?

This is unrelated but my last blood test showed I have high cholesterol, my fathers side has a history of this. I have been taking niacin because of this, but every once in awhile I'll have bad effects-flushing, burning etc...Anything I can take with it to stop the negative effects, I've heard the no-flush niacin is not very effective?

1) If you go to the same AME he will probably issue you a 2nd class.Ask him first though.

2) Take an aspirin 1 hour before the niacin.
 
Thank you very much. Do you know of an ame's you would recommend in Ohio, I was not happy with my last one.
