Passed the commercial practical today and I've got the multi ride on Wednesday. Expect more later as I've got to find some beer. I started at 8:00 a.m. and just got done at 4:00 p.m.

"He asked a few questions, and it turns out I don’t know what any of the antenna’s on the Piper Arrow do. I’ve got to work on that before Wednesday as I have my multi check ride with the same examiner then."

Good for you John!!!

Your observation about being prepared to identify the antennas is wise. Personally I don't care if a pilot knows what antenna does what ... its usless information, except for writing up a maintenance discrepency, but since he asked it once you can be sure he will ask it again. I once observed a multi student bust a check ride because he didn't know what kind of oil was used in the engine, actually I believe it was his attitude rather than a simple lack of knowledge, but anyways the next day when he showed up for his recheck guess what was the first question he was asked ... yep and he still didn't know the answer ... Bust Number 2.

Bro, get yourself down to Arlington this weekend, Emily is coming into town. Maybe I'll post something up in the meet and greet.

Jim,

First thing I did when we got to the airplane was to point out every single thing I didn't know on the last pre-flight before he could even ask me. He thought it was pretty funny, but I wasn't going to get caught twice.

In other news, does anyone need a pilot for their King Air? 'Cause I'm legal now, passed the multi add on today. w00t.

John, OUTSTANDING, brotha-man!!!! Way to go!!! If you have ANY inkling to instruct in FL, let me know. I'll put in the good word for you.
