Passed my ASTB

So, my road to becoming a commerical pilot is officially kicked off.

I was informed that I passed my Marine Corps ASTB flight test and that after I am officially accepted into the PLC program, I'll be readying myself for 10 weeks of rough training this summer, a 6 month basic officer course after I graduate college next year, and a year and a half of flight school in Pensacola, Florida!

I am finally beginning to chase my dream of flying for the airlines someday. I am looking forward to the challenges of the Corps and if I feel that I am through with military aviation once my contract expires, I'll be looking for a job flying people around the world. I couldn't think of a more perfect lifestyle.

So, I dedicate this post to all the dreamers-- the ones that watch every plane that passes overhead. The ones that get in the right lane and slow down to watch the incoming and outgoing air traffic at their local airport. To the people that walked around their houses with a die-cast model of a 747 pretending that they were a real-world pilot when they were seven years old.

And, as I most recently learned on my flight home from Vegas this past Xmas--- to the ones that get excited at the turbulence 37,000 feet in the air and the ones that love the adrenaline rush from the go-around they experienced during their landing.

Just thought I'd say a little hello to everyone, as I've lurked for a long time but never really go to use thee forums.

Have a good night everyone!
