How does the FAA calculate your pass rate?
If you sign a kid off only for his retake and not for the orginal failure, does this count as well?

The sign-off, which is the 8710, never got to the FAA, so, no, it would never be seen, or counted.Yea, when dealing with the fsdo they wanted only the ones who passed the first time. But it go me thinking, what if you sign somebody off, and they never take the test? They chicken out or whatever it might be. Do you think that would be included in the total sign offs? which pretty much would count as a bust if that was the case.
A 'bust' is a "Notice of Disapproval", which he did not receive, so that doesn't count. When you sign another 8710 Recommendation, that will be his first attempt.i had a student do the oral portion of the checkride but because of weather that day they never went flying. and he never rescheduled yet either, its been about 9 months.
so does that count as a failure? he will have to do the entire checkride over again.
