Part Time King Air 90 Job

I talked to the manager down here in Gulfport yesterday and he said he is having trouble finding pilots in this area. I don't know what minimums are and there isn't much flying going on but the job is salary based with all pilots being on call for oil spill flights. Two more planes are headed this way later in the year. Go to www.dymanicaviation.com to apply. Could be a good job for someone local.

I still recommend that those interested apply. The manager here told me he can't find pilots and they have a two person crew which will allow for lower time folks being hired.

Then why don't they respond to me? I try and try with this company, and never hear back. I call and get no where. The only minimum I don't have is the KA time. I have turbine, just not KA time.

Maybe they don't respond because you don't have 100 hours of King Air time.

:dunno:

Nah, just frustrated is all. If they can't fill positions, then something needs to change. I'd reason to bet this is a right seat position. And 100hrs KA time for a right seat in a single pilot airplane? Come on man!

Dynamic has a reputation of being picky, occasionally to the point of absurdity. If you really really really want to get on with them, go get a degree from LeTourneau University. I kid you not, it will work.

Very true, I interviewed with them locally last year and they interviewer basically said he recruited guys he used to go to school with.

I applied and got through a few layers of Dynamic's interview process for the Dash 8 positions. I was awaiting the call for the face to face interview when I got the "no thanks" email :(

From what I hear though, they check you out before a face to face interview and if you have debt (such as college/flight school, like me), then you'll get kicked out. Don't want someone that could potentially be a security risk.

Anyone know how picky they are with Pilots that have A&P's? I have my 'A' and will have the 'P' soon. I only have 700TT mostly single, no turbine.

Dude, I am sorry. That gig is just waiting for you to find it and it will be awesome.

I applied 2 years ago. Back then they didn't require the 100 in type. But right after my phone interview, and before my face to face interview, I got a call saying they were going to start requiring the 100 in type, and so "no thanks". It sucked!

Ive got several hundred hours PIC in KA200's, FlightSafety trained on it in '03. Flew 1900's in that area for a big defense contractor after that for 1000+ hours.

Who is a good contact for me to shoot a resume to? What type of flying are they doing down there? And it is a part time gig right?

LJ

It's a full-time job, but you are just sitting on call until BP screws up again. Hardly any flying until that occurs.
