Part-Time CFI Work With Professional Career

What kinds are part-time 135 gigs are there that can accommodate non-aviation primary careers? Air ambulance? Weekend freight? Thanks.

There's a few Cirrus 135 operators out there. If you're in the northeast and have 135 minimums, I want your resume.

I don't instruct (kind of half heartedly working on it, since I don't REALLY want to teach) but I do have a p/t aerial survey gig. I'm a network admin at a national laboratory here in Chicago, and through JC, found a very small mom and pop survey operator out of NW Indiana. It helps quench the thirst, but not fully....that being said, having the security I do with the full time job and benefits is beginning to get to be harder to give up the older I get and coupled with the fact I have 2 small children. Hindsight being 20/20, I should have done this at a much younger age, but then I probably wouldn't be where I am now, regret gets you no where. My advice while you're young is to go fly survey and get the hours to get to the 121 gig if you so desire...before the family / kids arrive.

@hook_dupin , anything like that planning on coming to Chicago? I'd be all about that once I hit 135 mins.
