Part 91 FOs - WI

Got a call today for an interview with their chief pilot, even after having gotten the TBNT letter. Starting is 22.5 with increases after training in other birds. Looking forward to the interview. I just have Mrs. Schaefers email at HR.

I sent a follow up email to her yesterday and got a reply today. Apparently I am still in consideration, but your a step ahead with the interview offer. Good luck! When is it?

Wow only 22.5 and pay raise only when you train for another airplane? There has to be more on that would be instead to hear how your interview goes and anything after with more information. Good luck go get em tiger!!

Interview Thursday AM. Will let you know more when I learn more, as long as I don't have a non-disclosure ;-) It's part 91 and I'm young enough to be able to barely afford it. I know everyone and their brother is on here to fight for better pay, but Corporate is EXACTLY where I want to be, instead of going to regionals. So if this is my door opener, it's my opportunity to take.

Cheers

My thoughts exactly. Seems very low for a Pt. 91 gig, even if it's entry-level. Curious to see the pay structure there.

22.5K staring is not to bad. Keep in mind this is for an FO on a single pilot airplane. Also my guess is the pay goes up a good bit after you move on to a two pilot airplane.

Good luck man! Let us know how it goes!

In my opinion, for an establishment such as Menards, 22.5k is way too low. Especially given that it looks like they're looking at guys with ATP mins.

I'm sure pay increases fast, however starting at 22.5k leaves a lot of digits to catch up on.

I am curious about that CE-750 though:)

well, in their opinion its enough, and since there getting qualified applicants to interview knowing the starting pay, it looks like the market will bear it. Gonzo is right, its an FO in a single cert aircraft, and it sounds like the flyboy is in a good position to get where he wants to go with it. Good luck!

Don't sell yourself short. Its a good pt 91 company looking for an FO regardless of what the aircraft is certified for. Obviously they're operating it has a two person crew.
Its unfortunate. "We" all undercut our worth just to get ahead and unfortunately the market takes advantage of that and goes right along with it.

If they're interested in you, it never hurts to negotiate - most 91 companies will entertain negotiations. Obviously, you need to be respectful and handle it in a professional manner. However, that's only if you get a sense that they will entertain such games.

Good luck!

Nice interview, more casual than your typical airline interview. More HR related than anything, now just figuring out the transition and training schedule for the 1900.

:-D

Funny, almost a week to the day after getting my TBNT letter from Menards, I run into the crew and the B-1900 at KGRI. Nice guys. We hung around the FBO for a few and talked. They mentioned that the CP doesn't get involved in hiring as much as HR does. But they were very complimentary of everything.

The plane is a nice looking 1900, N535M.

So, they offered you the job on the spot? I've never heard of them doing that before..., you must have really impressed them in the interview, nice work!

No I haven't been offered the job yet. My current job hasn't ended yet (it's still skydiving season) and they called me after the interview to give me a chance to work out an earlier start date than what I previously gave them. Got that sorted out today so I'm calling HR and the CP back to let them know that I've made arrangements to be available for their schedule.

I was current and qualified in the Citation (500/550/560) and the Beech, but also got the TBNT email. Looks like MNFlyboy got it!

Location probably has something to do with it by my guess. MNFlyboy lives only at the most 2 hours away. I live in Texas currently and you live in Chicago according to your profile.

Location is always a big consideration for simplicity in the process.

Location....Location...Location....
