Part 25 V2 Requirements

Hi all,

When discussing V2, part 25 gives some mentions of maneuverability and the fact that it can't be less than a certain percentage above Vs and Vmca. We also know that it will achieve the takeoff path requirements of 25.121 for1st and 2nd segment climbs. That being said, it doesn't say much more than than. Can we assume that, since the margins are so low in 25.121, that V2 approximates Vx on a single engine?

Thanks!

J.

Jeesh man... I'm glad you started asking all these questions years after I was your CFI. I'd have been saying "I have no idea, let me go try to find out" WAAAAY to often.

(as to your question I have no idea, but I hope to find out... from somebody else)

I've fallen into the rabbit hole that is an airline's training department!

V2 approximates Vxse and your "final segment speed" (seen different terms per type of AC) approximates Vyse.

Don't forget, there has been many sunrises and many gallons of foamy, hoppy liquit between then and now...Check my inaccuracies!
