Part 135 pilot doing part 91 side work?

Painful just thinking about flying that much per month again!
It's not the 120 hours of flying that's killer, it's the 120 hours of other crap that you do at a 135... Paperwork, wait on pax, load, unload, coordinate with dispatch, coordinate with mx, load, unload, pull the plane out, put the plane away, deice, etc etc etc...

It's that experience that allows me to think that things can always be worse when I'm sitting in the hold pad with the engines shut down "enjoying" a cold crew meal while waiting on my EDCT time :D

I always forget it is different rules in the lower 48 with a monthly limit.
 
If you are making money (exercising the privileges of your commercial certificate) it counts.

Flight instructing isn't commercial flying per the FAA's Fretwell opinion in 1995. You're being paid for your teaching, not your flying, hence the reason you can be paid to instruct on a Class 3 medical. Accordingly, Part 91 instruction doesn't count toward your 121 hour limits.
