Pan Am A320 Type Rating Questions.

Hi everyone,

I am considering attending PAN AM academy for an A320 type rating in the near future.

Has anyone here had any good/bad experiences with this type rating course? Or any other type rating course of theirs for that matter?

Since I would be attending as an International student and will need to be able to stick to a strict time-line, is their quoted 27 days accurate? Obviously assuming I don't mess up anything along the way that is...

The last question I have; Is accomodation relatively affordable? what sort of options would I have close to the academy?

* The training centers in the package sent to me, list Miami or Minneapolis (Northwest Airlines Training Center).

* Before I get berated with PFT posts... I have 3100hrs with over 2200 multi/turbine, and will not be buying a job... simply getting the rating so I can be considered for a job or three.

I'd appreciate any info at all.
Cheers

I think if you look on the Pan Am Academy website, you will see the links for Commercial Pilot Training. They are the ones I think you need to contact.

Good luck!

Here is a quick list of hotels. Hotel List
The training center in Minneapolis is actually in Eagan, MN. clsoe to the intersection of Interstate 494 and Dodd Road. I am not sure if NWA trains there or not, but I the training center is in teh same building as Mesaba Airlines, a NWA regional carrier.

I'd like to avoid any rubber glove treatment on arrival to the US!

Pan Am are offering me a good deal for the type compared to alot of other companies. I'm just hoping its course that is well recognised and has a good reputation.
