Paid for one... Getting one free...

My wife and I have a honda, I drive the truck when ever I can but sometimes there is no choice. Its not as bad as they want you to think! And Congrats on 2 and 3

Nothing wrong with an Impreza hatcback or a GTI or something like that! But a minivan is the automotive equivalent being forced to watch paint dry.
I'd lov to watch a video I you putting 3 car seats in either :)

I'm not driving the mini van... That would cost us an extra 1300/yr in gas minimum... Even though my car does has a 3.5l v6 in it.

16in wide screen, surround sound, heated seats, 15 cup holders, active noise canceling in the cabin... I'll be in the back for family trips I think!

Seriously though, it's just easier.

Side note, apparently they're not quite the same age? Lol interesting

Welcome to the club - wife and I did the buy one get one free IVF gig too. Have two boys due anytime now. If you're wife has any questions she's free to contact mine - I'll put you in touch.

To paraphrase a line from the movie The Long Gray Line:

You're on your way to becoming an ancestor!

Oh and don't feel bad if you do like I did and call them "Baby Alpha" and "Baby Bravo".
lol, I call them plan a and plan b. :)

Wife's side of the fam is full of twins... She is an identical twin herself !?!

Ours are natural, and look fraternal, but "may" be identical.

This is my future twin mobile, the Chevy Traverse ... because I'm 31 and my penis still works - I'm not driving a minivan.

Nice, we looked at the Acadia.

Biggest thing really, is that we can seat 3 across in the second row. Power doors that my 3yr old can already operate for us is also a plus.

Honestly though, ease of use, practicality, and comfort trump " looking like a man" I don't tend to identify myself by my car.

Or I would have kept the m3.

Another note... Guess its time to move again... 3br Isn't going to cut it.

Congrats, J! It's a good thing your wife has a good job......3X everything will get expensive quickly! :D

We have a Pilot and can't put 3 across. Heck we can't even put one facing aft without pushing the front seat up. I have yet to find a vehicle that can have the seat all the way back, though. With the load you rattled off, you might need a Suburban.

the 2nd row of tge odessey slides apart like 4 inches, giving just enough seat room for three. i was very supprised!

Congrats!!! Awesome news!! Enjoying sleeping the next several months, because that's going to end. When is your wife due? My oldest son and daughter in law are expecting their twins (boy and girl) like mid June. Yeah!!! He joined mini world and just bought a Toyota Sienna XLE used with low miles, has the dvd player, full touch screen navigation, back up camera, wireless headphones, sits two in the center (where they plan on putting the car seats) and seats three in the back with still plenty of deep cargo space, room for their doggies on the floor between the 2nd and 3rd row of seats, tinted glass all around, wood trim inside, sunroof, all kinds of crap in it. Gets good gas mileage and it's just practical. It's a lot easier getting the kids in and out each side with a sliding door too rather then trying to wedge yourself in a door that only opens so far.

Buying two of so many things is not cheap though. They bought a double stroller (tandem kind not side by side) but are going to use one crib for the first few months for both of them before they get a second crib. We have all just been buying diapers every time we go grocery shopping or to the drug store and stock piling them. lol

Hope the pregnancy goes well. Congrats again Dada!
