MKK? molokai is rediculous, they started these $29 dollar flights and they allow the pax to check 3 pcs of luggage each. well MKK pax are mostly locals and they take their coolers too and from HNL, each one ways like 40-50 lbs and they usually arnt sealed well so when you have to put them in sideways to fit in the pod they leak crap all over. also there isnt anyone working the counter in MKK so the pilots have to load and unload bags for 9 people and check everyone in. the flights are always full. its basically a cattle drive. oh and management gives you 15 minutes to turn a plane around there by yourself, i really feel bad for the captains when they have to do it by themselves, there is no way to stay on time. on a typical day a crew or captain will fly in there like 5 times and each time you get later and later so you try to shorten any lunch breaks or layovers you might have to try and be not so late.
LUP - Kalapapa is totally different... former leper colony just old patients live there now and they are the coolest and nicest people ive ever met. usually not many people fly in and out of there and its a cool airport. although alot of them need the wheelchair ramp and that can get difficult.
so thats molokai
