Hiya folks, i recently got an interview for this PACE program that everyone is talking about. Does anyone have any recent info as to what goes on in the interview, what the process is, what questions they ask and if the sim check determines if you're accepted or not...or do they accept anyone with the cash?

Oh yea, what is Farmington like?

Thanks -- Brett

Hello BH,

I take it that you mean you are scheduled for an interview. Is that correct? Check with KellWolf. I believe he's already been accepted and will be attending the January class.

Good Luck!

I wish. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Most of my knowledge comes from my best friend who has already been through the class and is in CRJ differences class as I type. If/when I pass my multi comm ride next week, that's the last piece of the puzzle for me to apply. Right now, I'm hoping for the Sept interview for the Jan term.

Interview breaks down with a one-on-one HR type interview, a sim ride in a Frasca, and a psych test.

Three months, or there abouts. It's an instrument course (which lasts I THINK 2 weeks), a multi-engine course (which lasts most of the course), a CRJ systems class (which does last the whole course), training in the Baron, and 40 hours in the JetSim.

If you're good on your multi procedures (and you don't need the multi add-on) and your IFR procedures, you'll save yourself a lot of $$$. Most of the guys I've talked to that refreshed themselves on those before they went saved about an extra grand or two.

Thanks for the info guys. Im guessing the frasca is to test your instrument skills and do you know how heavily its weighed? Will they let me know in advance what IA's i'll be flying?

Not sure how heavily it's weighed, but I know it's scored on points. If I remember correctly (and I probably don't) it's like a climb at airspeed, a descent at FPM, a couple of turn, and the ILS 25 into FMN. The only thing I'm sure on is the ILS. It's set up for the Baron, and they pretty much give you the power settings to use.
