PA28R-201 (arrow III) CFI power setting

I'll be taking my cfi checkride in a week. Tomorrow I am starting the flying portion in an Arrow III. I was wondering if anybody might have a cheat sheet with the various power setting used for all of the maneuvers. I'd really appreaciate it. My FBO's 172RG is out of service for a while, so I'll be using an Arrow. By the way, for which maneuvers do I not use the boost pump - is it just for chandelles and steep turns?

Have you seen the UND videos on utube? If I remember correctly the are using arrows for the maneuver demos. Search Google for UND chandelle and go from there.

Yeah, I did, but they really don't mention the throttle settings, they just talk about prop settings for various maneuvers.

At my local altitudes, approx 18"MP and 2300 RPM yields approximatly 90-100 KIAS for starting all of the maneuvers in the Arrow. Also used a standarized pre-maneuver checklist: Fuel pump on, power set, landing/recognition lights on, any loose items in the cabin secured, clearing turns, begin the maneuver. When the maneuver is done, power re-set to 18" & 2300, fuel pump off, recogniton lights off. We use the fuel pump for ALL maneuvers.

We use 19", 2400 RPM at FlightSafety. usually gets me around 100 ish kts. and we do the same exact pre-maneuver check too. :rawk:

18" and 2500 rpm is what we used in the Arrow. Got us around 100-105. We did a simple Clearing turns, radio, and gumps check. We are maneuvering at 7000+ft here in Utah though.
