Hello everyone,

After watching the board for sometime (4-6months), I finally got around to actually becomeing a member. I am an Engineer (controls) by trade but come from an aviation family. Father was a pilot and airline mechanic, brother is a pilot, doing alot in the aviation field. I have been a PPL for going on 6 years, and considering a life change to getting more into aviation. Trying to research some part-time work (besides CFI) to build some time, as well as have some fun.

I like the information and fun that this board seems to have, and thought I would risk the comments that might be made about me, and get involved.

I live in the Akron area - Rent at Portage (29G), belong to a club at Fulton (AKR), forced to fly commerical at Canton (CAK). Yourself?

Small world! I used to instruct for the grumpy old guy at 1G3. I also instructed very part time for the crazy lady at AKR. Just moved from Cuyahoga Falls to Wooster. Currently flying freight.

I hear airsports aviation is getting a bird down at Wooster (not sure what, most likely 172).

Maybe someday I can discuss a career change with you.
 
Yep, Caravans. Not the ones based at CAK though.

Yeah, Johnston Aviation (who has a location at BJJ) bought out AirSports (I guess, or vice versa), so that's probably true.

I'd be glad to discuss a career change, although I've been in this career from the beginning, so I've never made the change. But I'll be glad to help any way I can.
