As is tradition, here is a dump of my pictures from this year. My 27th consecutive Oshkosh, besides the Martin Mars, I cannot remember one as lackluster as this year. All in all, I took about as many picture over the course of the week as I usually do in a single day. Luckily over the years, I’ve met plenty of other regulars that helped keep the week interesting.

This thing is seriously huge

Not wanting to spend $125 for a tour of the Martin Mars, we fired up a SeaBee and went to the base and created our own tour:

A friend showed up in their T6 filled with camping gear, and parked in the seaplane section.

Thanks for the pictures. Is that Bearcat painted as a Blue Angel? Any idea who owns it?

Apparently the Martin Mars was damaged during an emergency landing on Friday...

Sorry I missed you guys. I was worse than an ADD kid in a candy store.

One of the funniest parts of the show was when Rob Reid asked the crowd to check their handheld radios, there was a stuck mic.
He then went on to explain the day before a "rotund" man had fallen asleep and his girth hand been pressing the PTT.

Of course the F-16 only did 2 passes before breaking, which meant the Canadian Snowbirds out performed the entire USAF on Friday...

I've got a pretty big desire for a CJ6 now

@Adler

What's the story on Jelly Belly? Looks like a t-shirt or rag on the horizontal stabilizer, besides the missing aileron.

I'm not sure what the rag is, but it's Kent Pietsch doing a drunk pilot routine. He drops the aileron early on.

He also does really neat bit where he climbs to altitude, shuts off the engine, and does a full aerobatic glider routine, note the prop:
