Organ donation

Doctor, I've often pondered the option of donating bone marrow or possibly a kidney.
Would doing so affect my 2nd class medical in any way?
What health repurcussions might I face afterwards?

The only "issue" will be not flying until the surgeon releases you to full activity after surgery. There are no other problems with organ donation and flying.

That's good news, for somebody, I think.
If only off for a couple of weeks, my vacaton would cover it, but if I had to expect 4 to 8 weeks recovery, that would cost me my job.
