The next time Hacker or any of the rest of us point out the little childish attack responses to any of the dozen gun control threads on this forum remember this statement. Don't back peddle like is typical and pretend you don't know what he is talking about.

No different than the Teabagger double standard. It's Ok to make sexually charged insults.... As long as they are hurled at the right.

I own 6 guns total. I haven't bought a new one in something like 3 years. I don't resemble your implication.

I tried to humorously point out that I saw a police officer with some sort of large gun, but that I don't know what kind it was. Was there a little jab in there? Absolutely. But we're adults here, ease off the butt hurt.

Look, we don't agree on the issue. We aren't going to.

The primary purpose of my comment was to point out that I also have seen police in ORD holding a big ass rifle. In the process I decided to tease nobody in particular just a little bit and you apparently took offense.

I tease people on here regularly and absolutely expect it in return. We're a community of people who know each other well. A great example of this @scooter2525. We are on opposite ends of the spectrum on this issue, but I still consider him a good friend. We tease each other frequency without any increase in blood pressure. It's just how things are around here. You can choose to get worked up about it if you want. I don't really care, nor do I expect you to change your point of view based on anything that I post.

I respond to your posts because they are dumb. Not opinionated on the other side, just dumb. You called a bunch of sworn peace officers who go through the same academy standard as every other law enforcement officer in the state of Illinois "mall cops." You make statements that you would be able to identify the guns you saw if only you were one of those gun nut loving stereotypes you like to paint anybody that supports firearm ownership as.

You haven't been stalking my posts enough if you think that I like to paint anyone who supports firearm ownership as a gun nut. That simply isn't the case.

Do I wish they never existed? Absolutely. But I believe the cat is out of the bag and there's no way you could ban them. Nor am I calling for that. I will admit that I find people with an extreme fascinating with them quite strange. They're tools. They can be very useful and require a certain level of proficiency. But if someone was flipping through a magazine about hammers and daydreaming about how they wish they could have a bigger, more powerful hammer, that would strike me as odd.

That's not really how this place works. This is more friends sitting around drinking beer and BSing than anything else.

I don't think he internets very well. But I've met @Seggy before and he's good people.
 
There are many, many people who type stuff that is posted, (notice I didn't say contribute?).
For what it's worth, I don't take what they have to say seriously, because many many people have no idea what they are talking about, yet feel the need to post and assert their opinion.

Much like my Sherriff, I like what this man has to say.
