Oops...stuck mic houston center

This was the most incoherent post I've read in a while...have you been employed in the real world ever?

Have you even been out of diapers for more than 10 years? You see, I can make asinine accusative insulting retorts as well...It' really not a hard skill to acquire...

Exactly.

Am surprised companies haven't been working then to be able to "ops check" CVRs for compliance, safety related or not.

Most contracts strictly forbid any company listening to CVR or other recording devices. There was a movement in congress a year or so ago to overrule those contracts and allow companies to listen, but ALPA got that bill killed pretty quickly.

You're right.I should have said "Yeah I'm sorry, too many big words and complicated issues for you huh? Apologies but I don't speak cheerleader." You know what pisses me off more than the insults I have been subjected to since I starting posting on this thread which I freely admit to firing right back? It's that the folks on here older than Cheerleader age, that have been in the workforce for the 20 + years that I have who grew up in a vastly different time when people respected actual values vs. BS nonsense like this topic know I've got a valid point (admittedly dramatized) but are too chicken to speak up because they are scared of the JC mafia...

[modhat] let's not turn this into personal attacks, let the small stuff slide. [/modhat]

have you reported any?

I agree with some of what you said above about how we are more and more restricted in our actions....we are being limited by the lowest common denominator. I also didn't find your post incomprehensible, it just takes a willingness to read through the whole thing.

Hope there is never a recorder or open mic in the ready room!! That is nothing from what I've heard lol. He was unlucky in that he expressed his views with an open mic. What I really care about is can he fly the plane when the hits the fan? I don't care about his political, personal, social, sexual or whatever opinions.

Years ago while in the overhead at the aircraft carrier, at angels 5 with an E-2C Hawkeye, I'm having a conversation with the Hawkeye Bubba's. I have to switch between radios as tower wants fuel updates every 15 min or so. My dumbass makes the comment that chicks shouldn't fly airplanes...my aircraft commander that day is female who had a good attitude (call sign FUD) but of corse I forgot to switch radios and my comment went out over tower freq and every room on that ship with a plat screen could hear cannel 1, including CAG. Yeah, I got my thumbed for that one.

I heard a conversation between two male fighter pilots and a female refueler pilot on a range frequency that would have made Larry Flint blush. She was the worst, started with innuendo ("plug into my backside, oh yeah that's good") and went down hill from there. We saved those tapes to mess with students.

She's too much of a man to "ignore" or "report posts". That's why I like her so much. She just shovels it back ten-fold. Awesome girl.

Gosh I hate having to play "dad" to a bunch of adults, but:

It's the companies airplane, the companies time and the companies rules. If you're ever in doubt, remember those three things and enjoy a nice long career.

I had a captain go into some anti-semetic rage once, I paused and asked "Hey, so what do you say about blacks when you're flying with a Jewish FO?" End of non-sequitur conversation and it could come soon enough. Keep that crap to yourself.

and then talks smack about you in AIM chat with some made-up crap. Awesome.

Yeah um, the "worst" I've ever heard rolled off the lips of a female pilot (in a Lear) who happened to be sequenced behind another female pilot (in a Beaver). Those two... Holy...

Excuse me? I'm probably old enough to be your mother. You speak without knowledge. You say things like 40 years ago this would not have happened when you don't know what happened 40 years ago.

I grew up in that vastly different time and know that you don't know what you are talking about.

I think what most folks aren't realizing is that HRDiva is in HR. Once HR decides that you're a liability for the corporation, you're toast.

I'm sure that the Flight Operations department could find things to fry the Captain in question on too, before even getting HR involved. Just a guess...

Thank you Doug. Signing off for now--have a plane to catch in the AM so I can learn about workplace best practices. :)
