Online degrees

I want to start an on-line degree and wondered if any of you folks had actual experience with any of the aviation universities.

I already have an undergrad in Economics, and am working a non-aviation related job in the computer software industry in an area that has nothing to do with my degree, so plenty to fall back on. I actually WANT to study aeronautical science.

I am not bothered whether I enroll at ERAU, Everglades University, UND, wherever. More than anything I am concerned by the quality of study as it relates to the online experience, course content and so on.

Any thoughts?

Seems totally unnecessary if your already a degree holder. If you want more education, why not go for a Masters? Why be a jack of all trades, and master of none,(relatively speaking)education wise?

I've not taken any online courses, but I have taken distance courses. I submit everything except for exams online. I go to the library to have them proctored. What you would have for class discussion is all contained within the CD-ROM that the course is on. I've done it the conventional way too, and I was really impressed with the distance courses.

All that being said, They are a lot tougher for me personally. It comes down to time management. Plus, I really prefer the class room enviroment.
My HIS364 class is kickin' my butt. One assignment is 5 text book chapters of reading(in addition to 2 biographys spread throughout), The instructor's discussion reading, about 100 questions, and a 4-5 page essay. PER ASSIGNMENT.
Are the assignments for 300 level courses typically like that in "real college"(not virtual)?

Anyway, I'm going back full time as a traditional student this coming fall.

but you missed his point...which i happen to think is a very valid point! be an indian in some fields, a chief in your main interest field. ie: if your really interested in aero science, go for the master so your a chief in the trade.

your: of or relating to you or yourself or yourselves especially as possessor or possessors <your bodies>, agent or agents <your contributions>, or object or objects of an action <your discharge>

you're : you are

Sorry Kristie, just trying to help with the spelling and grammar crusade, which I support.

Man...you could have a heyday with me! When I write formally...I think I do a technically accurate job. But here...I just type from my mind to my fingers to the keyboard. If a mistake happens...I'm usually not motivated to back up and fix it!
