One of our friends, STOMP16 passed away.

I flew and worked with Zach for many years...he was a good guy. I don't know details, but for what it's worth I understand it wasn't aviation related. He brought me on at my current company back in 2009 from a thread on this board actually. Him reaching out back then when nobody was hiring shaped the next 6 years of my career and life. I met dozens of lifelong friends and even my wife as a result of that action, as well as the best job I've ever had. He and I had a lot of fun times both inside the plane and out. Keep a good thought for his wife and son. Way too early for his number to be called.

Dammit :(

I had very limited interactions with Zach a few times over PMs and he seemed like nothing other than a stand up guy, always very helpful to me.

Just saw the posting on Facebook. Shocking...the little bit I knew about him was he had a great sense of humor, we shared quite a few laughs over the years on JC. Terrible. :(

Met Zach a few years back when he was doing some mapping/flying over Tampa. Weather was not favorable, so we ended up knocking back a lot of drinks. Hell of a nice guy.

Well that's just blows. Never easy losing a friend or acquaintance...but it's especially tough when one is taken way before their time.

Sorry for your loss to those that knew him. RIP
