That is completely understandable......

Since it was only gear issue did they have to immediately inform the NTSB? Or just wait and see if the request a report on the incident?

I don't know. I left the scene immediately so as to not be embarrassed by the right seater (I never sit in the right seat) ........ Just so you know, the gear collapsed on HIS side first ......

I dunno what I heard I could understand what happened. I hear there is recording of tower and the pilot on the third attempt somewhere floating around the internet. I also heard the pilot has another job or jobs lined up with a letter of rec from AMF and he wasn't fired.

He resigned... And with this on his record I would imagine it would be hard to find work.
