One Less FA at Delta

Interesting little quote from the article:
[ QUOTE ]
claiming other employees, primarily men, have their photographs posted on the Web in uniform and are not fired for it. The airline declined to comment on the case.

The site was so popular, in fact, that in the beginning of September, she started looking for businesses willing to buy links or ads on her page. One of those she approached was Delta. She said she believed that is how Delta management found out about her site.

Yeah, that was a good idea.

Let's just say a 'higher up' has been to jetcareers after it was brought to the attention of him during the "Flight Attendant Debacle" and didn't see a problem with my uniform because it wasn't indentifiable.

And thought it was a 'cool' website.

Yeah, and there's no pictures of Doug here in his uniform with his shirt (or anything else) unbuttoned showing his skivvies! He's kept this site nothing but the utmost professional when it comes to portraying his employer. Glad to hear someone in the higher-ups at DL liked JC.

Like I said before, posting suggestive pictures of yourself in recognizable company uniform is not a good idea! Had she kept the pictures conforming with company uniform standards, there would probably not be an issue.

If Doug post a picture of himself in his skivvies or shows any chest hair, I am sooooooo gone and will file a class action lawsuit for trying to scare the hell out of the visitors to this website, sheesh......

Not the brightest bulb in the universe, eh?

Well, she is about halfway to her 15 minutes of fame, interesting little quote here

I sometimes have to remind commenters prone to bad language that my blog is indeed mine, not theirs. Anyone who doesn't understand that forgets that property rights are as fundamental to democracy as free speech.

Same can be said when she taking suggestive pictures of herself in company uniform, which of course is the property of Delta Airlines

I don't know, I wouldn't have fired her, but probably used her to drum up a little excitement about flying the airline.

But considering that it's an "Air Line" and not an "Airline", who knows.

What, you mean ads other than low, low fares? Something like, using some positive publicity to generate interest in the company?

It would be a great idea but what the hell do we know?

Personally, I've completely lost all respect for her after actually visiting her web site. Her trying to bring down Doug and other DAL employees by posting links to their web sites and crying that they weren't fired is crappy. What if DAL DID fire them after seeing the sites (not that I think Doug would have been reprimanded as this site has nothing to get him in trouble, but what if it did)? That's a pretty crummy act to intentionally put someone else's job on the line.

Speaks wonders of her personality. Many times in corporate america the reason cited for your being fired is just a small straw and large camel's back, one that makes it easy to fire you without having to list out all the personality conflicts or poor work ethic that had them really wanting to fire you anyway.

I now suspect that they were all to glad to have a solid reason to let her go once her site was discovered.

Just my opinion,
