Omni Air International

Overall, I think it's a positive step. I had some issues with it, mainly the lack of rig, but that's neither here or there at this point. Nobody will ever be 100% happy. I'm very glad we now have a contract, and will enjoy the pay raise and seniority-based upgrades (my biggest beef was the 4-5 street captains who were showing up in every class when many of us FOs have been eligible and had been recommended for upgrade).

Glad to hear it man. ANd the seniority based upgrades is huge! That is something I would have never imagined being an issue. Best of luck to you all, What is the ammendable date so you guys can get more?Kind of like being in CommutAirs boat.

Dasleben, I don't have access to the union website or anything yet, when is the effective date of this? On another note, do you know if we can wear holiday ties?

As far as I know, it's effective today (12/1). I sure hope so; I got a last-minute call out to Germany about 6 hours before I went into days off yesterday. I want these 3 days to cost them. :) My line this month just got swapped to long-call, by the way.

No holiday ties, I don't think...just the usual Omni one as far as I'm aware.

Haha I suppose that shouldn't surprise me about the ties... I hope that is correct, I would sure like see that reflected in my paycheck on the 15th! I did take a look at the health benefits section of the TA and of course the changes don't take place until something like June of 2012 for that...

We're amendable in 4 years; it was a 1 year improvement from our first TA (5 years). Seniority upgrades are indeed huge, but I'm afraid the damage has already been done. I currently have 20 captains junior to me, which means I may not see the left seat for a while. Nothing I can do about that at this point; they were hired before the CBA went into effect.

Same here...December 1st-4th are callout days for me, at the new pay rate. With a 9 hour leg on one of those days, they're paying dearly for it. Daddy needs a new 60" LED flatscreen! :)

So how does that work? Are street captains eligible for downgrade if you were to bid a Capt slot that you could hold on straight seniority?

Sounds like some appropriate, and big ticket, improvements.

To a good extent, yes. We're still missing some stuff that would make it closer to the industry standard (read: rig), but maybe in the future...

Nope, no displacements unless a system bid calls for it. I'm simply stuck until I can hold it (which could still be about a year from now, so it's not bad).

Hopefully will show up on APC at some point:

Capt (all current aircraft):

Year Rate
1 $109.81
2 $113.11
3 $116.50
4 $119.99
5 $123.59
6 $140.80
7 $145.22
8 $149.78
9 $154.49
10 $159.34
11 $164.34
12 $169.50

FO (all current aircraft:

Year Rate
1 $70.00
2 $74.90
3 $77.90
4 $81.02
5 $84.26
6 $87.63
7 $89.38
8 $91.17
9 $92.99
10 $94.85

Still a 60 hour min, though... Days off are still paid at $250 plus the greater of 3.33 hours or block.

Thank you sir. Those rates don't look too bad, considering home based. How exactly does the "day off" pay work. If you have flown less than 60 hours for the month do you still get paid for flight time plus the 250?

Do you still commercial you all around the world in coach? If so, the home basing isn't that good a deal.

That's a pretty good deal, thanks for the info.

No problem. It's a good deal, except for the fact that they can hold you out involuntarily, up to 4 days a month. I like money, but I value my off time a lot more.
