Hmm....it was a little over two months ago that I was asking questions regarding UND, etc...
I remember you guys telling me to like leave some buffer time for the training because chances were I wasn't gonna finish before the set date of like August 8th. Yes, that's the case.
Financial aid problems= 1 week and a half of no flying
Weather= Flights cancelled every once in a while
Winds gusting to 18 kts= my solo x-country being cancelled today
So.......yup, you guys were right. I'm screwed. My flight back to NY's set for next Sunday, but being that I'm nowhere near finished with the flying, means I'll probably have to push the flight back for another week.
In short, though this REALLY sucks, I can only be happy that I chose to come during the summer. I can't imagine what would've happened should I have postponed 102 till then (fall).
-Here's the funny part though...
I WAS gonna do my solo x-country, despite the fact my instructor was doubting whether I should go or not due to the gusts. However, a classmate/buddy of mine shows up, coming in through the door, and tells me... "Angel, be careful up there. I hit my head on the ceiling..."
LOL
That's when my instructor's like, "OOOOK.....let's choose another day for your x-country." HAHAHAHAHHAHA
I thought that was real funny. I was like "thanks a lot f***er," in my mind, to the classmate.
But it's all good. Safety's first.
Anyway, by any chance do you guys know Derek Sandin?
He's the man. My original instructor left for some Airforce stuff, and I was left w/ a new instructor.
After flying with him, I can tell the difference, wow. He's a cool as hell guy.
P.S.- Yet another entry in my JetCareers diary. (it's cool though, you get to see your progress looking back at your posts)
Later guys.
