I think they may have expedited him for august because he's currently living only 15 minutes away from the academy.. easiest person to fill a seat with.

don't worry.. we should all have ours soon enough!

Yeah, actually got that taken care of today. I'm waiting on a response from HR. Now I just have to re-take the drug test after the 26th of this month. It's a never-ending cycle..

Well, I've been in this process with all of you for about 12 months now and have greatly enjoyed checking in on the forum and reading how everyone is doing. Its been a great resource/reference to help keep me informed on what to expect along the way.

Also, maybe it is just something about going to Corpus Christi (I think I read another guy heading to Corpus got a class date in August), but I've managed to get a 7/14 class date (only confirmed via email at this point). I was shocked and incredibly excited and now look forward to all of you getting your class dates as well.

Just wanted to let you know so that there would still be hope out there of some earlier class dates (rather than only after October).

I emailed my HR rep late last night - said that I just wanted to check in and asked if there was anything else she needed from me. She replied back this morning said that all of my clearances were in, but my facility (Waco, TX) was booked up for 2009 and it would be after October 1st for a class date. Same thing most people are hearing.

Here's hoping we get FOLs in the next couple weeks!

I received an email today from B.R. (HR Rep) wanting to know if I can make a 7/14 class date. :rawk: One year of waiting and now I'm being rushed.

Well everyone, I got a call today from my HR rep with good news! I have a class date scheduled for August 6th! She said my FOL is on its way! Here's hoping I see some of you all in OKC at the end of the summer! How about some more exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!!

Just curious, who is your H.R. person, and were you ever told that you would have to wait until next fiscal year?

Same thing happened to me, but I got 7/14 for a class date!

I was previously told nothing until October 09.

BR is my HR person. I had actually emailed her on Monday to check in and got a reply that all of my clearances were in but that my facility had all of its slots for FY09 filled already, so I would have to wait until after October 1st to go to OKC.

Imagine my surprise when she calls 2 days later! She offered me July 14th, July 30th, or August 6th, so I chose the latter because I already told my boss it would be sometime in October. She said my FOL would arrive in a couple days...Now I have to break the news to my boss that I'll be leaving in 2 months.

My situation was identical...

Interesting...

'Cept my boss doesn't know that I'm leaving in about 3 and a half weeks (I'm taking some time off to relax before I start this career)

Well I guess I can hope. I got a response from B.R. this morning saying she finally has received all my clearances, but that I will be waiting until next fiscal year. Nothing in this process would really surprise me anymore though, just when you expect one thing, they throw ya a curve ball.
