Re: ** Official "Slated for Next Fiscal Year (Oct. 2009)" Th

Re: ** Official "Slated for Next Fiscal Year (Oct. 2009)" Th

For those of you getting class dates, are you getting phone calls or emails?

Re: ** Official "Slated for Next Fiscal Year (Oct. 2009)" Th

I got an email

I was told from my hr rep yesterday that the schedule is being revised right now and that we (terminal peeps) wont be getting class dates until mid sept now. :(

Any terminal people have class dates for FY10?

I got a phone call with the class date, and an email with the FOL :)

Re: ** Official "Slated for Next Fiscal Year (Oct. 2009)" Th

I'm calling my HR rep tomorrow to make sure she's still my rep. Too nervous and twitchy about this to stay in the dark any longer!!:confused::dunno::confused::crazy:

Re: ** Official "Slated for Next Fiscal Year (Oct. 2009)" Th

so I called my hr rep "E.M." and got her voicemail which had a message along the lines of... If you're waiting on a class date as a "terminal" (thank you very much ferret) ATCS candidate, that they were re-working the fall class schedule and that we should hear something from them by mid-september. If you don't hear from them by mid-sept. they said to contact them.

My take is that they underestimated their terminal class needs and are adding more terminal classes sooner. (that's also my selfish preference).

I wonder what this means for us center people that are still waiting around.

Re: ** Official "Slated for Next Fiscal Year (Oct. 2009)" Th

fyi: I originally got a class date of Oct 6th (for a center). My H.R. rep then shot me back an email saying that they were reworking the dates but it shouldn't be moved back more than a few days.
Turns out they moved it back until Oct 8th which isn't bad at all, as I read on here that a couple of people had their dates moved back weeks and one guy over a month.
I am enroute, and I know she mentioned that one reason they were 'reworking' the class dates was because they had to cancel some classes (she didn't say if they were terminal or enroute). Hope this helps... lets all wait fast!!

Re: ** Official "Slated for Next Fiscal Year (Oct. 2009)" Th

Honestly, This is all wonderful for everyone! At least we are all gettting closer to class dates! When one of us gets a class it just moves the rest of us another slot!

Here is a question? To every getting class dates are you at lower rated facilities are at higher rated facilities? Because, some from pubnat 1 are getting class dates and others are from pubnat 5 and so forth and so on. So it is pretty inconsistant how they are given classes.

The class dates are being given based on facility need and TOL date. The longer you've had a TOL, the more likely you are to get a class date sooner. If you are going to a hard-to-staff facility, you are more likely to get a class date sooner.

Here is a question?

That's a self-referential sentence if I've ever seen one.

Well, people from PUBNAT1/2 without a date are very few and far between. Most are cases where their process was put on hold for one reason or another, or they fell through the cracks of the system. 3/4, there are some, but the majority of them have begun as well.

It's not facility rating that's important as much as need. Simply put, the places in more dire circumstances will usually get class dates sooner. It's not always consistent, as you noted, but that's the general idea they're trying to follow.

I'm from 4, and I'm still waiting.
